The Big Apple

Sometimes, the third time’s the charm.  I had a great third visit to New York City.  First time, record breaking cold.  Too cold for a Georgia peach.  Second time, tropical storm.  Third time, blue skies! (Blissful sigh)

NYC is a street photographer’s dream.  So many people, buildings, and subjects just wanting to be captured.  I was overwhelmed by the volume of everything.  So many buildings and so many people.  I stayed on the upper west side of Manhattan, and all of the photographs, save the Statue of Liberty, were shot on Manhattan.

Special thanks to Nikisha Alcindor, my host; and author H. Victoria Hargro Atkerson, and the late Geri Stukes of the New York Black Librarians’ Caucus. Love y’all!
