Everyday Exotic

This is an tree [not pictured] from the Georgia coast, of all places.  When I think of exotic,  I think of a far off jungle in South America or Africa; not my humble home state.  The bark literally flows and ripples like a river.  Nature offers so many textures and patterns.

Having a camera phone comes in handy for snapping pictures of the “everyday exotic” things in life.  If I zoom in on something as ordinary as pavement, it’s sea of diamonds.  Flowers transform into an alien landscape.  Wood grain becomes a Pollack.
