Weird Artist Habits #31-35

31. Bottom of purse, shirt, pockets have ink stains.  From that ubiquitous pen.

32. Ability to recognize another artist’s work on sight:  "Umm hmmm, that's a ________ (fill insert an artist’s name). . . " while in a gallery, mall, place of business, anywhere.

33. Shoes that don’t match the outfit.  Invariably in a crowded room at your next party, look at everyone’s feet.  At the bottom of the well-tailored pants, you may spot a pair of Chucks or Pumas.  The wearer is probably an artist or another eccentric type.  They rarely spurn comfortable shoes.  The ladies may wear an exceptionally stylish pump or something outlandish enough to make Carrie Bradshaw coo, “Hello, lover!”

34. Ragged pair of shoes. They’ve broken in these shoes in undergrad, walked across campus, stayed up together those late studio nights and refuse to part with them. They’ve been grandfathered in.

35. Owns steel-toed boots for utilitarian purpose.
